Once you’ve been admitted to Touro University and issued your Form I-20, the next step is to schedule your F-1 student visa interview at a U.S. embassy or consulate. Florence partners with Boundless to make this process faster, simpler, and stress-free — including covering the filing fee, immigration advisor support, and even certain travel expenses if needed.

What’s Included with Florence Support

  • $180 Filing Fee: Fully covered by Florence Education.

  • Boundless Immigration Advisor: A $1,000 value; you’ll have a dedicated advisor to guide you through scheduling and preparing for your interview.

  • Travel Expense Coverage: If your assigned U.S. embassy is more than 100 miles away, Florence may cover your transportation costs.

The I-20 to F-1 Visa Process

  1. Receive Your I-20

    • After full admission to Touro University, Florence will arrange for your Form I-20 to be issued.

    • This document proves your acceptance and eligibility for an F-1 student visa.

  2. Pay the SEVIS Fee

    • Your Boundless advisor will guide you through paying the SEVIS I-901 fee online.

    • Keep the payment confirmation — you’ll need it for your interview.

  3. Complete the DS-160 Visa Application

    • Boundless will walk you through the DS-160 form, which is your official U.S. visa application.

  4. Schedule Your Visa Interview

    • Using Boundless’s scheduling support, you’ll book your interview at your assigned U.S. embassy or consulate.

    • Important: In some countries, the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate may be located in another country. If this is the case, Florence will help with travel arrangements and may cover expenses if the location is 100+ miles away.

  5. Prepare for Your Interview

    • Your Boundless advisor will provide a checklist of required documents, including:

      • Valid passport

      • Form I-20

      • DS-160 confirmation page

      • SEVIS fee receipt

      • Financial support documentation

      • Any additional items requested by the embassy

  6. Attend the Interview

    • Dress professionally, arrive early, and bring all required documents.

    • The officer will ask about your program, finances, and post-graduation plans.

Tips for a Smooth Interview Process

  • Schedule your appointment as soon as possible — embassy wait times can vary greatly.

  • Double-check that your passport is valid for at least six months after your intended U.S. arrival.

  • Keep all receipts and confirmations organized in one folder.
