1. Start Loan Application

Click the link below to start your loan application:

2. Enter Your Application Status

Select “Applied” or “Accepted” based on whether or not you’ve already been admitted to your school (e.g., Touro University).

3. Enter Your School Name

Enter the name of your school exactly as it appears on your acceptance letter. For Touro University, make sure you choose Touro University California and not the other schools (e.g., Touro University New York).

4. Enter your Degree Program

Choose "Master's" for degree and "Nursing" for field of study. The program begins in November 2025 and is expected to end in May 2027. Technically, you are pursuing a Master's in Public Health, but Nursing is the best option here.

5. Enter Your Citizenship

Enter your primary citizenship, and how you heard about MPOWER, then click continue to approve the Terms of Service.

6. Submit and Check Email

Once submitted, you’ll get an email outlining loan terms. Eligible applicants usually see options between $2,001 and $100,000, with 10-year repayment, no collateral, no cosigner, and no prepayment penalties.

7. Continue With Application

Click “Continue with Application” to proceed with your loan. If you’re already in the portal, select “Complete Now” under My Applications.

The remaining process takes about 10 minutes and will ask for details such as your citizenship, mailing address, immigration status, references, and information about your education, program type, and enrollment status.

8. Enter Education & Program Information

The Master's program at Touro University California is a hybrid, full-time program. Please enter “Public Health/Community Nurse/Nursing” as your field of study. The program start date is November 2025 and expected graduation date is May 2027.

9. Enter Future Job Offer Details

The form will next ask about standardized/language tests, your employment history, and future job details. For the Future Job Offer section, select “No, I don’t have a future job offer,” even though Florence will help connect you with hospitals later.

10. Scholarships and Grants

Under Scholarships and Grants, enter the $8,000 Florence grant as “Other.” This reduces your tuition balance from $32,000 to $24,000. Please note, MPOWER shows $28,414 for Touro University California – MPH, but the actual cost is $32,000.

11. Requested Loan Amount

Finally, you will need to enter a loan amount. We instruct students to request $24,000 loans so they net $32,000 with the $8,000 grant.

12. Confirm and Submit

Lastly, review all your details before submitting your application. Please confirm your personal, education, employment, and financial information is accurate. By clicking “Submit,” you consent to a credit check.

Once you submit the online application, MPOWER will provide a conditional loan offer within minutes if you meet the basic eligibility requirements.

13. Upload Supporting Documents

To finalize the loan, you’ll need to upload supporting documents such as your admission letter, identification, and financial details. Below is a list of the five documents we recommend uploading.

  1. Pay Stub or Job Offer Letter from Your Hospital Job

    1. Ask your current employer for a pay stub

  2. Proof of Scholarship of Grant ($8,000)

    1. Ask your nurse advisor to generate for you

  3. Transcripts from previous universities

    1. A copy of your bachelor's degree transcripts

    2. A copy of your SpanTran/CGFNS evaluation

  4. Secondary government-issued ID

    1. A copy of a secondary ID (driver's license or passport)

  5. I-20 Form

    1. Ask Touro for a copy of your I-20 form

14. Final Processing

MPOWER reviews your information and confirms your approval. While the initial offer is quick, final approval and disbursement usually take a few days to a few weeks, depending on how quickly you submit your documents.
